Crafting a Totalitarian Aesthetic
The Proofreader - Episode 1 » Devlog

A world where control, order, and oppression shape every pixel.
Inspiration
The game's aesthetic draws from Soviet propaganda, brutalist architecture, and minimalist design—where sharp contrasts and rigid symmetry reinforce absolute authority.
Art Style
Using a strict color palette (red, black, blue, white), every portrait, UI element, and environment reflects restriction and conformity. The world is cold, industrial, and meticulously structured—just like the society that governs it.
Bringing It to Life
Stripped-down details and a stark, graphic style make every element feel imposing and inescapable. The towering workplaces, omnipresent surveillance, and rigid compositions all serve one purpose: to erase individuality.
