Dynamic Leaderboard System – How It Works
Hey everyone! 🎮
For my game, I wanted a competitive and dynamic leaderboard that truly feels alive. Instead of a static ranking, I built a system where AI opponents react to the player's score, making every session unpredictable and intense!
How It Works:
✅ Real-time Score Updates – AI opponents adjust their scores based on the player’s actions.
✅ Adaptive AI Behavior – Some opponents are consistent high-scorers, while others fluctuate, creating a sense of rivalry.
✅ Elimination Threat – If you’re in the bottom two after a set time, you’re out!
✅ Visual Feedback – The player’s row is highlighted, and the last two places get a warning marker for extra tension.
Why I Did It This Way:
I wanted to create something more engaging than a static leaderboard, where the player really feels the competition. Since I’m still learning, I kept things simple but functional, focusing on making the system feel fair but unpredictable.
There’s definitely room for improvement, but for now, I think it adds a fun challenge to the game! If you have any feedback or suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
